Mmm... Spain

Not exactly wedding related, but I'll make it work...
Been watching the best food porn evah the past few days: re-runs of Jose Andres's Made in Spain on PBS. As much as I hate to admit it, I am enamored of the food, wine, and culture of the Philippines' colonizer. I've been to Barcelona and Madrid twice, but have been dying to go all out and do more-- see the bullfights in Pamplona (damn you, Hemingway, for putting that idea in my head all those years ago!); eat amazing seafood in San Sebastien; dine at the famed (and impossible to get into) El Bulli; view the rugged beauty of the Basque country. Another honeymoon possibility that is but a dream at the current moment. Sigh.
In other words, does anyone just want to get me Andres's new cookbook as a wedding/birthday/Xmas present? (Hint, hint).

One more thing, dear readers... I've been contemplating making a separate food blog for a long time now, and I think that after the wedding might be the right time to launch it. I have tons of restaurant reviews from all over the US and around the globe, home recipes and food experiments, wine and beer ratings, and lots and lots of photos. This wouldn't be anything professional, but I do think it would be fun. What do you think?
